Welcome to Illinois Mortgage Bankers Association
The Illinois Mortgage Bankers Association (IMBA) has stood as the state's premier mortgage banking trade association comprised of companies and institutions whose business interests revolve around residential mortgage lending including mortgage bankers, mortgage brokers, community banks, national banks, credit unions and those providing services to mortgage lenders, including mortgage insurance companies, title insurance companies, attorneys, appraisers, credit bureaus, compliance and technology service providers and others.
Our Mission
IMBA’s mission is to provide information, educational resources and effective advocacy to help its members be profitable, ethical and prepared for future challenges.

Dear IMBA Members and Industry Friends,
I am honored to serve the Illinois Mortgage Bankers Association as your 2026 president. I look forward to a remarkable year for our industry.
Our primary goals for this year are as follows:
- Growth – It is imperative that we inspire and engage the next generation of advocates and industry professionals, embracing innovation in programs and products and technological advancement, and being open to new ideas and new models.
- Advocacy – We will be bold in our advocacy. Affordable housing does not happen by accident—it happens because people organize, speak up, and insist that housing be treated as essential infrastructure. We will continue to be a strong voice with policymakers, reminding them that smart housing policy is smart economic policy. Join MAA today! The Mortgage Action Alliance (MAA) is a voluntary, non-partisan, and free nationwide grassroots lobbying network for real estate finance industry professionals. Having regular contact with your lawmakers and their staff members through MAA's Calls to Action is critical to ensure your elected officials understand how policy issues affect you, your customers, and the communities you serve.
- Collaboration - No single organization can solve the housing crisis alone. Success requires partnerships—across public and private sectors, across nonprofit and for-profit developers, across lenders, service providers, and the communities that we serve.
- Expand Social Media Presence – We will continue to embrace technology and social platforms to connect to industry partners, consumers, and our communities.
Thank you for your confidence, your partnership, and your commitment. I’m proud to serve, and I’m excited for the work ahead.
